Science After Dark at the Danville Science Center

April 6, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Start every month with a unique astronomy-filled experience at the Danville Science Center every first Friday of the month from 5:30 to 9:00p.m.

Watch astronomy based movies and Live Sky planetarium shows in our Digital Dome Theater. Participate in special creative hands-on activities in our lobby. Take a look into the vast expanse of the solar system and beyond through our telescopes. Get a glimpse of the strange and beautiful worlds of other planets, moons, galaxies and other distant objects, weather permitting.

Join the Danville Science Center and the Institute for Advance Learning and Research as we Celebrate Albert Einstein’s contributions to science. We will have a special presentation in the Digital Dome Theater focusing on Einstein’s theory of gravity and some of his other fascinating discoveries about our universe. During this show we will follow 12-year-old Luke and ALBYX3, a clever little robot, on a magical journey through space and time. After your digital journey, enjoy some hands-on Earth & Space activities in our lobby, made available through the National Informal STEM Education Network and the Science Museum of Minnesota. Expand your understanding of the universe as you peer through our telescopes at the celestial objects found in the vast expanses of space.
