Three dead, two injured in Caswell Co. shootings

(Anderson, N.C.) — Three people died and two were wounded in a pair of related shootings this weekend in Caswell County.

Sheriff Tony Durden says it happened Saturday evening at six o-clock at a home in the 8000 block of Cherry Grove Road in the Anderson community.

Durden says deputies found 37 year old Danielle Hines and a juvenile shot and killed inside the home.  There were also two juveniles suffering from gunshots wounds who were taken to an area hospital for treatment. There’s no word on their conditions.

The suspected gunman, 36-year old Anthony Lamont Siler, drove away from the scene, entering Alamance County. He was pulled over on Rauhut Street in Burlington. Deputies say Siler pulled a gun and died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

In a press release, Sheriff Durden said he is devastated by the events. “Our thoughts are with the families of the victims,” Durden said.

The names and ages of the juvenile victims have not been released. The investigation is still underway.
