(Kentuck) — A weekend crash claimed the life of a Pittsylvania County man.
State Police say it happened Saturday afternoon on Kentuck Road, a half mile south of the intersection of Kentuck Church Road—not far from Dan River Middle School.
Troopers say 37-year old Kevin Lamont Ballard of Ringgold was driving a 2010 GMC Yukon northbound on Kentuck Road. He ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected and went across the road, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Investigators say Ballard was not wearing his seat belt and died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
