(Richmond) — Governor Glenn Youngkin has re-appointed a Danville City Councilman to a state board focusing on Virginia’s small business.
Lee Vogler will serve another four-year term on the Virginia Small Business Commission. It’s a 16-person board. Ten of the members are from the General Assembly and six are citizens from across Virginia.
“I help run a small business, I work with small businesses every day so I’m very excited about this opportunity,” Vogler said. “I’ll get to work with small businesses throughout the state while having a chance to represent Danville at the state level.”
The panel makes annual reports to the legislature, offering guidance on bills dealing with small businesses throughout the Commonwealth. The panel is listed under Virginia’s Division of Legislative Services.
“Having run a small business for the last several years that also works with hundreds of small businesses across our region, I’m very familiar with the issues facing small businesses in Virginia,” Vogler added. “As an elected official, I’ve always fought to support our great local small businesses. I look forward to continuing that work to help small businesses across our great Commonwealth.”
