(Danville) — Danville Police seized a dozen malnourished dogs this weekend, now charges are pending.
Last Thursday officers responded to a complaint of possible animal abuse and neglect at the Danville Pet Resort. That’s on Ash Street off of Piney Forest Road in north Danville.
Officers searched the building and seized 12 dogs that they described as “in poor physical condition.” Some needed immediate veterinary assistance.
The Danville Area Humane Society helped seize and transport the animals. An animal abuse investigation is underway. No charges have been filed.
