(Danville) — A Danville man who fired a shot while robbing a gas station will spend over a decade in jail on federal robbery and weapons charges.
Earlier this year, federal prosecutors used the Hobbs Act to convict 42-year old Isaac Jerome Graham for robbery and discharging a firearm during a crime.
It happened December of 2022 at the Sunrise store in the 2200 block of North Main Street. The clerk told police a black male walked in, pulled a gun, fired a shot into the floor and demanded money. He made off with $1,400 cash. Graham was arrested hours later by Danville Police.
The federal prosecution came through a program called Project Safe Neighborhoods. Graham Wednesday received a 150-month sentence.
