(Danville) — A Danville woman and her teenage son have been charged after a dozen dogs were seized from their pet facility.

The Danville Police Department has arrested 37-year-old Tomara Tanya Twigg, charging her with 10 counts of harboring animals with no rabies vaccines and four counts of animal neglect.

Her son, 18-year old Kenneth Tate, was arrested and charged with 36 counts of animal neglect and one count of animal cruelty.

On August 15th, Danville Police seized a dozen dogs from the Danville Pet Resort on Ash Street off of Piney Forest Road. Animal control officers say the dogs were in poor condition. Some of the dogs needed immediate veterinary assistance.
