(Danville) — Who is your Danville Schools Hall of Famer?
The public is being asked to provide input as the Danville Public Schools Education Foundation creates a brand new Danville Public Schools Hall of Fame. It will recognize graduates or teachers and coaches who have excelled in their chosen fields.
The Foundation says this will give current Danville Public School students positive role models.
Nominations are open through November first. Nominees must have graduated from or have been taught or coached at a public high school in Danville. They must have outstanding citizenship and leadership and have made major contributions to society. Categories include Medicine and Science, Business and Professional, Arts and Entertainment, Humanities and Services, and Athletics.

A selection committee will review nominations and select inductees. The inaugural class will be inducted at a Hall of Fame Gala next spring.
