(Danville) — Danville Police say a pedestrian was killed when they were hit by a vehicle on Piney Forest Road Tuesday.
It happened at around 8 p.m. in the 1300 block of Piney Forest, near Nor-Dan Shopping Center. Police found 57-year old Candace Cassidy suffering from injuries after being hit by a Ford F-150. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and witnesses tell police Cassidy was in the center turn lane and was hit while the truck was slowing down to make a turn.
No charges have been filed, the incident remains under investigation.
