(Danville) — Developers hope to begin signing contracts for folks to move into the renovated White Mill by the end of the year.
The Alexander Company announced Monday they will begin leasing apartments to residential tenants at Dan River Falls over the next couple of months. They’re asking for a parking lease with the Danville Industrial Development Authority for 150 interior spaces on the lower level of the old Mill Number Eight. The IDA will vote this week on a ten-year lease at a rate of $4,500 per month.
The 80 million dollar renovation project was a partnership between Alexander and the city of Danville. The first floor and the eastern third of the second floor will be renovated into commercial space. The lower level will include 219 interior parking spaces for tenants.
Future renovations include turning the canal in front of the building into a whitewater feature.
