Warrants served in missing person’s case

(Brosville) — Local, state and federal authorities teamed up Monday morning, trying to crack an eight-year old missing persons case.

Pittsylvania County Sheriff Mike Taylor says they served a search warrant at a home and a business on Moorefield Bridge Road as part of their search for 46-year old Soledad Najera.(pictured) She has been missing since March 21, 2016.

Taylor says their goal was to find any evidence that may lead them to Najera’s whereabouts. Najera is originally from Durango, Mexico. Locally, she attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Danville.

Taylor says they were joined by Danville Police, Virginia State Police, the FBI, and several state agencies. There’s no word on whether authorities suspect foul play in the disappearance.

“We ask for the media’s assistance in getting this information out to the public to help us in our efforts to locate Soledad,” Taylor said in a press release.
