(Danville) — A Danville murder suspect’s trial date has been pushed back again.
Marquise Holland is charged in a shooting death last May at Woodside Village apartments off of Piney Forest Road. Police found 37-year old Marcus Hairston dead at the scene. Another victim was taken to the hospital. Hours later, a third victim arrived at SOVAH suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Holland pleaded not guilty earlier this year. His trial was originally set for this week, but it’s now been pushed back to July 18th.
A 15-year old suspect in the shooting death was ruled not competent to stand trial ealier this year by a Danville Circuit Court judge. The judge ordered six weeks of treatment for Amarion Marquis Hairston in an effort to establish competency.
