(Chatham) — A Pittsylvania County judge has set a second trial date for a Lynchburg man charged in a shooting death.
33-year old Cordero Tucker was set to go to trial exactly a year ago, but a judge approved a motion to continue the case. The shooting happened February-2023 at an Air BnB rental on Falcon Ridge Drive near Leesville Lake.
Before deputies arrived, a victim was taken by private vehicle to the Centra Emergency Department in Gretna. 28-year old Jonathan Robertson of Pittsville later died from gunshot wounds.
Federal Marshals arrested Tucker two months later. He’s charged with first-degree murder and three weapons counts.
A two-day jury trial has been set for October ninth and tenth in Pittsylvania County Circuit Court.
