(Danville) — A private grant will help a unique Danville restaurant expand.
Crema and Vine has received a $10,000 Backing Small Businesses Grant from American Express and a group called Main Street America. They are one of 500 recipients across the nation.
The Backing Small Businesses grant program supports economically vulnerable and under-resourced small businesses with community reach and/or cultural significance. The money grows or improves these businesses by building community, supporting their economic viability or bolstering change.
Crema and Vine owner Steve DelGiorno says the ten-thousand dollars is paying for upgrades that will add an additional 400 square feet of new kitchen space, allowing them to expand their menu.
Crema & Vine opened eight years ago in the Old West End. The location was an Exxon station for more than 50 years.
