(Danville) — Danville Fire investigators say a Tuesday morning blaze was the result of arson.
The call came in at around seven-thirty from 884 Piney Forest Road at its intersection with Wendell Scott Drive. The first crews found a single-story house with heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear.
Crews located and removed a victim through a window and searched the rest of the house while other crews doused the blaze. No one was hurt.
The Danville Fire Marshall’s office says the blaze was intentionally set and charges pending. Units were on the scene for two hours.
