(Anderson, N.C.) — A Caswell County man is in jail on manslaughter charges after a weekend argument turned deadly.
Caswell County Sheriff’s Deputies got a call Sunday morning at around 7:30am from the two-thousand block of Quick Road, near Park Springs. They found a man at the scene, suffering from a gunshot wound.
According to witness, EMS tried CPR, but the victim later died.
Later in the morning, deputies arrested 39 year old Charles Franklin Love – McDowell of Ruffin. Investigators say he shot and killed the victim during an argument. McDowell is charged with one count of Involuntary Manslaughter.
He was placed in the Caswell County Detention Center under no bond. His first appearance in Caswell District Court is scheduled for this Wednesday.
