(Danville) — A third suspect in a murder out in far southwest Virginia was arrested over the weekend here in Danville.
It happened in April near some ATV trails in Lee County. That’s the furthest point west in Virginia. State Police this weekend announced the arrest of 41-year old Virginia Redden of Ewing-Virginia in Danville. No details were released on exactly where she was picked up.
Redden is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
It was back in April when Lee County authorities found the body of 44-year old Jerry Lee Wheet of Ewing-Virginia. The discovery came in the Rose Hill community, not far from the Kentucky line.
Earlier last week, authorities in Suwannee County-Florida arrested two other suspects. 39-year old Amos Lee Hall of Rose Hill, Virginia is charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy. 33-year old Christopher Holeman of White Springs, Florida is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
