(Danville) — Six people and a pet were displaced in a Monday night house fire in Danville.
The call came in as a kitchen fire at 301 Briarwood Drive. The first units saw light smoke coming from the rear of the house. All the occupants were outside and accounted for, but crews searched anyway to confirm no one was inside.
The fire was contained to the kitchen — the rest of the house suffered smoke damage.
Danville Utilities and the Danville Life Saving Crew helped run the call. The occupants are getting help from the local Red Cross.
