(Blairs) — There were minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Blairs Wednesday afternoon.
Blairs Fire and Rescue chief Steven Barts says it happened in the 7100 block of Highway 29 at around quarter to three. That’s not far from the Blairs Fire and Rescue headquarters.
It was a two-vehicle accident involving a passenger vehicle and tractor trailer. The truck and trailer were overturned and a fire erupted in the undercarriage. Crews quickly doused the fire and extricated the driver from the truck. The occupants of the passenger vehicle were able to get out on their own.
All of the victims were treated at the scene and released. Southbound lanes were closed several hours for cleanup. State Police are investigating.
